Audio equipment manufacturers across the world crave Paul Vnuk Jr.’s seal of approval — as they should. Paul, editor of Recording Magazine, has an ear for high quality sound, an ability to discern top-notch recording and audio equipment, and a way with words.
Beyond his more than 20 years of experience at Recording Magazine, Paul is a producer, audio engineer, sound designer and musician. So when it comes to an objective review, Paul’s always ring true considering he has researched, used and reviewed more than 900 audio products.
Paul’s expertise with recording and audio equipment makes him a great leader in Trilix Studio’s Home Studio Accoustics session, a breakout during the House Sessions workshop. During the session, we hope to equip attendees with the know-how to take their creativity and recording knowledge from ingenue to professional.
Not only will Paul be able to offer insights on a wide array of equipment, he’ll be able to help session attendees optimize their home studio's acoustics, working with the space you already have. Other abilities attendees will gain include the following.
- Sound proofing techniques
- The ability to choose the right acoustic treatments
- Working within the constraints of your space to minimize echoes and reflections
- The chance to deliberate the pros and cons of a stereo, 5.1 surround or 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos®
Paul also knows what its like to design his own studio. Through his studio, Moss Garden Music, Paul has produced sound design projects and libraries for Sony, M-Audio, Peace+Love Productions, SoundTrack Loops and more.
Additionally, he’s recorded and mixed albums for numerous clients across multiple genres. Paul has also released more than a dozen tribal electronic albums as a solo artist and with his band Ma Ja Le and in other collaborations.
From home studio to pro studio, come hone your craft while making connections in the industry. We'll see you in August.
